Workout plan?

Hey all,
I’m training to become a firefighter and I need to be able to pass a physical test. The department has a workout plan and I have followed it for about 2 months with little results. I was wondering if anyone who has recently passed the test or is a firefighter has any advice?     A intese work-out,lif wieght, juming jack, squatsssssssssssssssss, lots of running. And eat right and drink some protien shake.
